13.07.2008.   Wiki spam
There has been some wiki spamming recently. I've disabled anonymous editing so this shouldn't happen in the future.
Please drop me a line if you encounter any other spammed wiki page.

10.07.2008.   Progress report
Summer came along, and with it a lot of free time :) We're working on tnz2 almost every day now. Our main focus right now is implementing mouse movement (here's a link to the discussion thread)

20.05.2008.   progress
just a quick update: we're working on organizing and documenting the current code, some physics work and client-server architecture.
We're getting nearer to a first release, version 0.1. The feature list for 0.1 hasn't been defined so we'll probably release it when we feel like it's something worth presenting.

30.04.2008.   Bug tracker opened!
tnz2's bug tracker is now officially opened!
You can find it at http://www.cateia.com/tracker.
Before submiting any bugs or feature requests, please read the following Wiki article (article will be available soon).

24.04.2008.   update
I've updated the wiki with some development information, most useful being how you can obtain the source code an run the game (you don't have to wait until version 0.1 gets released ;)

I've done some code cleanup and organization and plan to continue doing so until I'm satisfied with it. While doing so I'll make a list of major things that need to be done and will put them in the tracker.

06.04.2008.   bug tracker
The new Cateia Games' bug tracker system is up and running! It will be opened for public as soon as tnz2 0.1 gets released.

04.04.2008.   bug tracker
It's time to start managing bugs and feature requests for TNZ2. Sourceforge has a tracker tool but I don't like it. So we've decided to use Flyspray for tracking. It should be online soon.

02.04.2008.   Wiki
I've started working on the starship database on the wiki, a central base for all ship information (images, specs...) that will make it into tnz2.

I've opened a forum topic calling for wiki editors to help out.
Just keep one thing in mind: In order to use a starship image in tnz2, an author's permission is necesarry!

30.03.2008.   forum update
I've updated the forum to the latest version. The wiki will should deployed next week.

29.03.2008.   web
I've redesigned some of the pages on tnz2's web as promised.

23.03.2008.   exams..
in case you're wondering why there's been so little activity latley, it's because all tnz2's developers are curently studying for exams. We all attend the same college and have to do written exams three times per semester. Normal development will continue in about a week and a half. We hope to release a first preview shapshot soon after.

10.03.2008.   page redesign
I've redesigned the website's sections a little bit. much of the information is outdated and incorrect. It should be completed within a few days.
I also plan to deploy a wiki for the project. (MediaWiki)

07.03.2008.   tnz2 artwork
Here's a link to an old piece of artwork made for TNZ2 some years back by Zeljko Nachinovic. enjoy :)

04.03.2008.   tnz2 project revived!!
I'm happy to announce that I've decided to revive the TNZ2 project!
The main reason the project was cancelled was because I was the only developer and due to many obligations in Cateia Games and college, I just couldn't find the time to continue the project.

So, what has changed? Several developers joined the project and we've decided to develop the game in Python programming language and use the increasingly popular ogre3D engine. Due to these facts, the game should be developed in a (relatively) short period of time.

The game is now fully open-source and is hosted on sourceforge (link).Source is available via SVN (link).

Over the comming weeks, I plan to update all the content on this webpage, setup a wiki and ofcourse, keep working on tnz2 :)

you're all invited to join in the forum discussion to help design the game!

tnz2.cateia.com's the hit counter has been reset, a sort of good luck charm for the project :)
